You, Lord, are my love. You teach me and keep me daily. I
live for Your love. Your sweet breaths on my face in the morning, I
breathe for. Your strong arms that hold me until I drift asleep, I wait
for. My love, you have a voice like no other. When You speak, I
listen. When You call, I answer.
When I disappoint You, I hurt. When I hurt You, I see the
nails in Your wrists and in Your feet. I see the many open wounds on
your back from the beatings you took for me. My love, sometimes
when I think of you, I see myself there, at Calvary, watching. I see
the crown of thorns on your head and the blood streaming down your
face….down…down…down, into your eyes, then down your cheeks,
then down your neck. Shhhhh, and You never say a mumbling word.
I see my love on the cross, dying for me. Your body, bruised and
torn, blood poring in your eyes, they pierce you in the side.
I fall to my knees and worship you. I see you there at
Calvary. I see you dying there…for me. My love, you love me so
much so….so much so…that you died for me.
put a song in my heart and it is You I sing for. I stand back, just as
you taught me to do, and wait for you to open doors for me. You
open doors that no man can close. As I walk through the door, I
pause for you to lead me safely along. I thank you for closing the
doors that no man can open. I press on ahead as you show me the
