I was lost,
And I went looking for you,
Hoping to follow you home,
But your legs were longer than mine,
Your life too fast paced to follow,
And you lost me in the long, dusty miles,
So I traveled on alone…
I was lost,
And I cried like a child,
Hoping my mother would come,
And take me home,
But she never heard me,
Even when I was by her side,
So I dried my eyes,
And learned to live alone…
I was lost,
And felt so alone,
Wishing I had a friend,
To encourage me to keep trying,
But it was always I who gave them hope,
They never had time when the need was mine…
I was lost,
And it was dark and cold,
Hoping someone would give me,
Some warm clothes,
Or let me stand near their fire,
So I could warm my bones…
But your matches were wet,
And I learned to make fire on my own…
I was lost,
And I realized,
No one was coming to take me home,
So I thought maybe I should just stay here,
And stop being afraid of being alone…
I was lost,
But I found a way to exist,
And now the morning mist,
Has finally cleared,
And I see my way home…
First let me say I loved the pic and the message it contains about inner peace. Lost and alone have we all not been there but then realize that we must exist until we are found or find oursleves.
Very nice write and looked the message you sent here.

Retta, We all feel this way at times, and usually if we wait long enough, simple faith lights our path to recovery.
Your words were painful only because I felt your hopelessness as I stood beside you.
Great work! Lisa
