No way was it a part of God's grand design
For someone to create an invisible line
So it had to be a being with a hateful heart
To create a line that keeps God's children apart
We can reach out across that invisible line
To find what was truly God's grand design
We need to forget the line and love each other
And make everyone a sister and brother
No matter the shade or coloring of our skin
We can make things better than they have been
Color doesn't matter...white, red, brown or black
But that line won't be crossed if we stand back
That ol' invisible line is already crystal clear
And an already invisible line can't disappear
C'mon, people, reach over and touch hands
Become a member of the brotherhood of man
C'mon, people, just try and communicate
Love and kindness are much better than hate
C'mon, people, let's end this unnecessary pain
There's nothing to lose and everything to gain
C'mon, people, what is wrong with you?
Never heard of bias cause someone's eyes are blue
There's no difference in how we are born
And none in how we love, laugh, cry and mourn
So, I don't understand the big deal about the line
That surely wasn't a part of God's grand design
