A friend and I were talking just the other day
About rising up in the sky and flying away
Going where the weather’s perfect, day in, day out
Where there’s no famine and there’s no drought
Where there’s no sweltering heat or shivering cold
And where every street there is paved with gold
We talked about the mansions, waiting for every single one
When our work here on Earth is over, when we’re all done
We talked about how the place called Paradise came about
Never did we utter a word of question, not the slightest doubt
Because we knew He had paid for it all with His sacrifice
That with His life, He paid for the place He called Paradise
He did it long ago on a cruel cross on a hill across the sea
He paid the precious price for Paradise…for you and me
Forever, for all of eternity, he’s already made the sacrifice
For us to live with Him in the place He called Paradise
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
