Creature comforts are sometimes mostly taken for granted by us all. I like the ending 2 lines, they are so true, especially at this time in this world.

I like this kind of read, Reg. I think it's quite important. Seems I'll have to go through all your poems first. The other postings seem a bit long. You must consider that the readers are so diverse--some have time on their "hands", others practically none, unfortunately! Cheers.
Everybody's busy. But not too busy to dream or buy the children an ice cream cone. Most people spend their lives minimizing losses instead of maximizing gains. It's all about developing internal self-discipline and the internal desire to make good use of your time. This is a great poem that demonstrates the need for time-sharing when several people are competing for your time. It always pays to be gracious and when we make a special effort to be considerate of others, they will respect you and your time. And isn't that what we all want, time to do our thing and share our dreams with one another? Thanks for taking your time to post Too Busy To Dream, Reg.
This is so very true, Regis. I am living in the fast lane these days and looking for an offramp to be sure. Sometimes life gets a little hectic, but we must make time for those things that are important to us. Life is too short to put off until tomorrow that which we should be enjoying today. Not one person has ever been on their death-bed saying that they wish they had worked harder and spent more time at the office.

OH! Dear Regis, The picture (amazing); your words of truth are sharp but do not sting. Absolutely love this one and it reminded me of the song that was written about the Dad who keeps putting his child off because he is too busy and then the son grows up to be like him and is too busy for his Dad! OMG isn't it the truth tho. When our Lord calls us, we have to listen, and there is no more time to finish anyhing. Why are some of us forced to live wasted lives? And why do we purposely waste our lives?

Sobering and truthful, Regis, like a bullet between the eyes! And how many of us need it, I suspect. You would think that, having come through at least two life-threatening illnesses, I might have learned some pace and appreciation. Perhaps I have, but my biorhythms just keep me on the run - at least that's my excuse! But no... taking stock, sitting back and reflecting and "Having time to stand and stare" are not just necessary but very, very healing. How much of "real" life do we miss by not paying heed... and most of it for free!! Bless you - this is a very a propos write and very much les mots justes. Thank you. LOL Kate xx

Regis, how'd you know I'd been spending too much time at the office? This seems to sum up my day too much. I fit the picture of the man who never stops to look at the beauty of the world. Thsi was a peice I can relate to.
