I did a search of my writing files on my computer and these "haiku" on the theme of St. Patrick's Day came up. Wow! Time flies but my general thinking seems to not waver much. 😎🤣💚🍀

 Saint Patrick’s Day in “Haiku…”

On St. Patrick’s Day

Some people believe in luck

Most just drink Guinness

A notion of green

Shamrocks and Irish lasses

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

Irish lasses walk about

With mugs of green beer

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

At the end of the rainbow

My sweet love awaits

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

A reason to celebrate

In moderation

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

Irish lasses wearing green

Are serving green beer

I am sending you

Celtic love, hugs, and kisses

On St. Patrick’s Day

March the seventeenth

Many folks are wearing green

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

The Irish are wearing green

And serving green beer

Shamrocks and green beer

Pots of gold and leprechauns

It’s Saint Patrick’s Day

As a son of old Eire, Regis, I yearn for more recognition of the Irish Celts I descended from! Sadly, all Saint Padraigh's Feast Day represents to too many Americans is the aforementioned green beer and Leprechauns with pots of gold. The Irish, like the Germans, have contributed so much to this nation! You'd think we'd have a few more 'Irish Bars' in my part of the state (Californica), since there were so many famous and notable Irish-Californians, but alas! I was hard pressed to locate one within a reasonable radius of my residence and couldn't afford to risk driving to one (for obvious reasons, LoL). That said, I dusted off all my Clancy Brothers, Chieftains and Dubliners CDs, got out several bottles I have been saving of Guinness Stout, ran up the IRA 'Starry Plough' flag, and quietly celebrated at home! Thanks for sharing those 'green Haiku' with all of us! Na Gaeil suas agus go mbeannaí Dia na hÉireannaigh! Chun do shláinte! :))

St Patrick's day can be so much fun, and at its best we remember the Saint who started it all. Love your creative work Regis, have a blessed day. :)

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
