In The Last Few Years The World's Story Seemed More Like a Science Fiction Novel than Reality. 2015 - Unpredictable Change is getting incredible, both in the world and personally. Severe storms; threats to remaining pristine areas like the British Columbia coastline from avarice over dredging up the remainder of the world's oil before sustainable energy takes over; the rise of ISIS like an incredible opportunity for the world's remorseless,serial killers to join together; a likable Pope; Israel and Palestine in a death grip to destroy each other and Iran feeding the means of destruction; race relations in the U.S. flaring again; Putin being overcome by ego and causing death and severe conflict in the Ukraine; just a few of the unexpected stories of 2014.
Change - sometimes good, sometimes bad. Personally it's good. A return to School Psychology. I've unexpectedly become a role model for older professional people returning to the work force. I'm really enjoying it. Perhaps we can even return some Phonics (sounding out reading instruction) into Canadian schools (the Americans are already doing so as a result of testing in "No Child Left Behind" and finding that theme learning is not enough.
