Felix's Prayer 1/13/2011 6:13:20 AM
Morning Memoir Last night I fell asleep worrying about returning to living in my car, because I have over stayed my welcome on the reluctant couch I've been on since before the holidays, and the last job I attempted rejected me because I'd had a surgery on my spine over 20 years ago.
I know there is a higher purpose to it all, although I do not fully understand. I do know I'm meant to write my books and other jobs would be a distraction. So, I squared my shoulders and vowed to follow through and "take it like a man," although I'm a woman.
Then, I woke this morning, read my mail, clicked on Felix's "Conversation With A Higher Power" and began crying like a baby. I can't fully explain why. I guess I needed the release and in those moments I felt like one of the young "innocents" he wrote about, although I'm 51 and have been a sinner too. I guess God knows why we suffer, but God I wish I knew.
I'm feeling a bit scared, although things can't get much worse than they've already been.
A strong little voice whispers from deep inside my soul, "You'll be OK. You will. Go out and brave the cold."
