"Wild Goose Chase"

Today, I drove a "wild goose" chase. . .wasting gas, time and energy rushing to meet a man who forgot I was coming. I can easily excuse him, because he's elderly and honestly forgot. But I miss the check he had for the ad he purchased from me. I really needed it today. Tonight I'm nursing a fever and achy limbs.

That's what happens when we brag about climbing back onto our feet again!
Tomorrow will be a better day. If not, the one after that will. . .and so on.
