Large print sale 8/25/2003 10:22:02 AM
Ulverscroft has picked up The Silver-mine Spook by Lance Howard for large print. I am happy about this because they increased the print run.
Work progresses on Vengeance Pass. I managed to outline the first two chapters but this week I'll be putting it on hold to prepare the next issue of Golden Perils. A friend and I have also been working on the Golden Perils discussion group list. It's a restricted list for those interested in doing pulp research and contributing articles and information. Anyone interested in that sort of thing can go to the GP page (www.howardhopkins.com/page4.htm) to sign up. I should have the new issue ready for next Monday if all goes well.
Meanwhile I am still researching possible print publishers for Grimm. I have it narrowed down to three at the moment.
Learned to make ripe cucumber pickles last night. This wasn't quite the fun I thought it would be. But assuming no one ends up food poisoned, the venture was a success!
I have finally reached book 100, The Man from Shanghai, on my Shadow novel-reading endeavor. Only 150 more to go!
Speaking of Shanghai, watched the DVD of Shanghai Knights with Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson on the weekend. I think it was even funnier the second time around (saw it in the theatre when it came out) because I noticed more. A funny movie and the interplay between the characters is wonderful.
