The Peacemakers premiered on USA Network last night. It's a new western blended with mystery and the first episode was pretty good. Nice to see the genre getting some airtime. I think the series has potential. It's scheduled for Wednesdays at 10 est.

Who knows what evil?
I am presently reading the entire Shadow pulp novel series in order and reviewing them for a couple lists. I am up to book 95, but still have over 150 to go! I sure wish I'd paid more attention to that speed reading book I tried years back...

Peppermint Sammy

I have a wonderful niece named Samantha (this week she claims she's Peppermint Sammy, after the Charlie Brown character Peppermint Patty, sheesh), who I take care of weekdays...she's suddenly learned the fine art of not taking no for an answer. If you ask your mom about going to Splashtown and she says no, then try grampa and grandma, then uncle in succession until you get the answer you want. It's annoying but cute. We finally settled on ice cream because Splashtown is, well, wet. I don't do wet very well. With her persistance, however, I'm sure she'll make a fine writer someday.
