I love writing positive children’s stories. The purpose is always to show my young readers something that will encourage them, or help them in their own lives. Tails of Sweetbrier shows children that dreams can come true if you refuse to give up. Charlie the Horse is about Charlie’s dream of becoming a famous racehorse. He learns that you must concentrate on your goals if you want to achieve them. Charlene the Star is upset that she doesn’t seem to enjoy racing, although her family and friends just love it. Will she discover her talent? Is it okay if she’s different from her friends and her family? In Charlene the Star and Hattie’s Heroes, Charlene and her friends need something exciting to do in their spare time. Will they find a new career?
Sarah wrote that Tails of Sweetbrier was the best book she ever read, while Anthony said it was exciting with sad as well as happy parts. Anthony also commented that Charlene the Star was a good book and he was surprised that she’d already been in three different barns! I appreciate every child who has read my books and I hope they enjoyed them. I’m sending a special thank you to every one of you.
