Due to an unusual happenstance, I've grabbed the opportunity to upgarde  my membership to "gold."  I'm looking forward to investigating the new features that will be available to me.  Having new things to learn is always exciting, and I hope to be more interactive than I have been.  I kind of tend to stay inside my own little cubby hole, but I hope to communicate with more people.

I'm especially interested in the new "Book" option offered to "Gold Members" because I hope to publish my first anthology before the end of the year.  I plan to have a manuscript together by October.  The book still needs editing and some articles inserted.  I'm going to call it "Colouring Outside the Lines," and I already have the professional pictures taken for it.  I have about 30 poems, and want to include another section on my research on bipolar disorder and other mental challenges facing the public today.  It's a unique coupling of ideas, but I have a grand overall scheme.

There are so many independent publishers, with so many different publishing options.  Traditional publishing seems a long road indeed, have traveled it almost five years with little monitary success.  It feels very comfortable to be thinking about printing with an Internet writing site that has been there for me for years.  Author's Den is a company that sticks to its word, and cares about its members.  A special thanks to Simon for his help recently.

From being posted here at Writer's Den I received a hard bound book in the mail post from www.cybernet.com in India, offering to print me for a price.  They do good quality work from the sample book they sent me, and their prices are much cheaper than in the US.  But what would I do with 200 books delivered to my door to sell?  I know marketing is very important if you're writing to sell.  There are so many options, it's difficult to know what to do.

But today I'm thrilled to have a "Gold Membership."  Special thanks to a most kind and understanding  Simon, who went above and beyond the call of duty to keep me a happy Writer's Den member.  God bless us every one!
