I'm going to try to keep two blogs, and perhaps this will keep my mind and proverbial pen flowing.

I have a personal deadline to have a mansucript of my poetry and essasys ready and send it in to a yet-to-be-decided self publishing company before the end of October.  A friend, "Ghetto Gandhi" andf I made promises to each other about what we would accomplish in a year.  He has a job now.  He's done his part. 

I always procrastinate, but that's just my nature.  I work best under pressure.  I think six weeks is a reasonable amount of time to pull a manuscript of poetry together.  It and the essays are already written.  I just need to arrange and figure what filler to add, without drastically changing what the train of thought is in the book.

I want to call the book "Colouring Outside the Lines," and I already have the book jacket ophotos done.  Those are of me in the burnt orange shirt with the crayolas.  I'd like to get feedback.  That's what makes us better writers.
