Transporting my two teenage boys to school is always an interesting experience. It is my chance to engage in some interaction which usually ends up in me being scolded for saying something dumb. Usually my choice of music always brings howls of protest (to be honest I love getting them into this frenzied state, it is my life's work).

This morning I gave one of my eldest son's friend a ride and heard him recite a piece of Hamlet to her, word perfect. When asked how he learned this piece, he casually replied from the internet.

I have to say I was so proud. And more than that it demonstrates we need to embrace all kinds of learning. The baby boomer's reputaton for narrow mindedness needs a rethink.

Long live the car journeys!

I'm afraid they wont last too much longer.
