A reflective look at life Today Easter Saturday, I took a walk along the beach with my dog Monty. The weather is turning but reasonably warm. As is my way I started thinking about life and how I got to live on the other side of the world.
My father who died a week before his retirement in 1983, had led a pretty awful life,daily lying on his belly in seams of coal sometimes not more three feet high he was high in my thoughts.
I miss the opportunity to have those debates that father and son have, widom and youth never sitting comfortably alongside each other but each sharing their unspoken love.
Whenever i get a bit low I compare his life and mine and the positivity comes flooding back, I have been so lucky.
So this Easter a thank you dad for all you gave me in our too short time together
