A story of a boy's determination For the last couple of years i have been mentoring a young man who had lost his way. Failing his last year of his studies, annoying his parents for his lack of focus, in truth he was going nowhere fast.
Over these years our regular chats were informal not focusing on his shortcomings but trying to figure out why he was doing what he did. For my part these meetings were enjoyable and apart from the allocation of my time they cost me nothing.
This weekend he sent me an assignment he was preparing for entry into the police force, it is a great piece of work.
The moral of the story , we should never give up on people especially teenagers, they will find their way ( with some support and gentle persuasion) we just need to listen and not be judgemental.
