A incident with my 17 yr old

Late last night my 17 year old son approached me for a copy of my book. First of all I was extremely proud that he might want to read it given some of our conversations are mono syllabic (car journeys to school) but he followed up with wanting to pay for it!( of course I refused) As he walked away I shed a tear.
