My prayers are with London victims and families...
My children's book is now available! We woke up this morning to the awful reports of London being attacked by terrorists. My thoughts and prayers go out to every victim and their families this morning. I hope that you will take a moment to pray for them as well.

It tells the story about a boy that loves the attention he gains by telling his class about his fabulous pet monkey named Funny Face-until his teacher announces a Pet's Day!
It's based on a true story, actually. Several years ago, we were discussing our pets in my classroom when one little girl boasted about having a pet monkey. I knew she was fibbing right away, but the class believed her.
I called her up and asked that she bring her monkey to school one day for show and tell. She said that she'd ask her mom. Later that day, I reminded her that I knew that her landlord would NOT allow pets and that I didn't appreciate her lying. She broke down in tears and admitted her lie. I changed the character to a boy so that I could use my family's names as the characters. Plus, it seems that girls will read about boys, but boys rarely read about girls. Well, now you know the insider info on that! ;)
