Last night at church, we sang, "That Same Spirit." I felt the Lord moving, so I stood up. I didn't even use my crutches...I simply stood there and praised God.
Then, I sang, "Dare to Believe (In Miracles) with a tape.
I FELT my healing taking place as I sang! Strength came into my knees and leg bones that I did not have when I first stood!
Lots of people were amazed at my new-found abilities then, but they were really astounded when I walked in leaning only on a cane last night!
I didn't even have a cane when I greeted friends at the door! Wow, were they shocked!
It was the first time since my wreck in July that I was able to walk up onto the stage and take my place beside Betty, our piano player. I took the cane for support, but I can walk without it-a little stiffly, but I can do it!
Praise the Lord!
My physical therapist left a few hours ago. She too was amazed by miraculous recovery! She said that she saw no reason that I shouldn't be able to walk right into the doctor's office on October 11 and ask for permission to return back to my job as an elementary teacher.
Now, that was the kind of news I could use! I called Lori, my principal. She was happy to hear about my quick recovery and said that she'd like to have me back October 12 if at all possible. I told her I am planning on it!
Now, all I have to do is work this soreness out enough to be able to walk without a cane.
I'm so happy! I'll keep you posted on my progress...
