Anyway, my second big news is that I have created a two-day diet to lose 5 pounds! Here it is...
I started at 159 lbs on Jan. 29, 2006.
My friend gave me a copy of a 3-Day Diet. She says she had 10 lost pounds by using it.
Even though it said NOT to substitute anything, I did anyway, because I just don't like some of the foods.;)
It's supposed to be my third and last day on the diet and I'm blowing it. My brother, Randy, who I haven't seen in over five years, is in Brentwood, Tennessee, which is only about an hour and a half drive from me. He lives in Texas and is here for an insurance meeting.
I have already told him that I would take him out to dinner when he came. So, I probably won't be so "good" tonight.
So, it's now a 2 day diet-my very own. Unless I find extra willpower and order "light" tonight. Yuck! I'll post on here tomorrow and let you know if I remember.
It's now Feb. 1. I weighed in at 154 this morning-that's 5 pounds!
Now, that's pretty good! I'm 5'8", so that's not such a bad weight for me.
Here's my diet foods exactly:
1st Day-
Breakfast: Coffee with non-fat creamer, orange, wheat bread toast, one TB peanut butter
Lunch: slice of Velveeta cheese, wheat bread, green tea with Splenda
Dinner: Broiled chicken (5 small wing pieces), carrots (I like mine raw) and 1/2 cup of Frozen Yogurt.
2nd Day-
Breakfast-
Breakfast: Coffee with non-fat creamer, scrambled egg cooked in "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter," and wheat toast with the same butter substitute.
Lunch:Broiled chicken left overs, apple, diet drink
Dinner: 2 Turkey Franks,2 celery sticks, 1/2 cup of green beans, 1/2 banana (Don't know what I would have done if my husband hadn't wanted the other half. You can't exactly SAVE a banana, now can you?)
Snack: Frozen yogurt and hot green tea with Splenda
If you don't like this stuff. I totally understand! I'd say try a few substitutions that make sense. Coffee for tea, turnips for carrots, ice cream for frozen yogurt, etc. Just choose something in the same calorie and fat range and it shouldn't hurt anything.
At least I hope I'm right about that. No promises.
Five pounds may not sound like much to some, but just pick up a five pound bag of sugar or flour and imagine that heavy weight around your middle-suddenly disappearing! Let me know you're going to try it and then actually do it. I'll post results here!
Wow!
