Tips on writing characters for your story that seem real to your reader. How To Create Real Characters In Your Novel !
Your characters are the actors in the novel you are writing . You can have the most beautiful setting, the most intriguing situations, and a great story idea, but if your characters in your story do not seem like real people, then your story is on its way to failure. A well developed plot, setting, and theme can add to the story, but it’s the characters who must bring that story to life for the reader. Your characters must seem real., with actions, thought and motives that mimic every day people. As your story advances, the events, circumstances your character encounters must be logical. The reader must be able to see how the characters reactions to certain difficulties could really be plausible in real life. A statement from Author James N Frey, states it very well.
“If the writer is skilled enough,
the reader will identify with the characters
to the degree that for the time
he is reading the book,
the real world will fade
and the reader will be complely
absorbed into the story
world of the characters “
Plausibility is very important in your story if you want it to be a salable piece of work. It must be believable to the reader !
