The Words We Choose Create Our World 11/9/2018 11:35:47 AM
Our words are very important. The words we use creates our world. The content of this blog encourages us to think about our word usage and to remind us to always use positive and creative words. Words can make or unmake our life. Words have the power to motivate or harm us. The words we form in our minds have the power to convince us or convict us. If we thought of a happy event as soon as we wake up, we feel blessed to be alive and excited to do things with a light heart and cheery disposition. If we thought of an unhappy one, expect things to turn sour the rest of the day. We can get tired, cranky and apathetic.
Proverbs 4:23 states “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” Turn on the switch in your mind from negative to positive things. What we feed our minds comes out from our hearts in spoken words.
Always say the magic words of “Please”, “Thank You”, “Sorry” and “God bless you”. It will change the atmosphere immediately. We make ourselves the recipient of kind words so we can speak kindly to others. Words, therefore, empower us to build or destroy. They can heal or wound deeply depending on how we express our words.
Good persons are remembered for their humble speech than the bad ones for their arrogant discourse. A gentle response will always bring peace while a harsh one fuels the fire for more angry outbursts.
Remember always that when we are motivated by love, we can do miracles in our life. We touch others with our enthusiasm, our positive outlook, our attitude and become an inspiration to others who do not esteem themselves well.
Let our desires be guided always with words of encouragement. “I can do this.” “I can handle this.” “This is attainable. I will push it.” Such words can lead us to do things smart. The outcome will be just the way we want them to be or better than what we expected.
When we tell somebody, “You are a loser.”, then we branded him that one and it will remain a stigma on his person. But if we say, “Oh, things sometimes are not what we expect them to be, but be brave in facing the challenge and fight it forward.” Then we see the transformation of the person getting the support he needs. He begins to have confidence in himself and move on to the next level of development.
Let us never say, “I’m not good.” When the tone is set like that, we will end up not appreciating the good that we do because we feel we are not good. Let us instead say, “Others can; I can be better, too.” Then the words can create a world that is friendlier, peaceful, prosperous, more meaningful and wonderfully lived.
There is always truth to the saying that “we get what we deserve”. We are rewarded by what we say; just as we deserve the outcome of our words. Wise people speak wisdom; fools say nonsense. When we have wisdom, we have sound judgment and choose our words carefully. Think, say and do good.
