Let’s Embrace and Learn from the Challenges
12/6/2018 12:38:14 PM

Indecision is a roadblock. Make your decision and move on it, even if you have to change it later.
Most often when we find ourselves in a predicament, we tend to mope, cry and spend time blaming ourselves and wallowing in self-pity. Instead of confronting problems, we are caught up in indecision. We do not know how to handle them. On the first note, we knowingly made our messes because of lack of wisdom and understanding. We make hasty decisions without even thinking of consequences. Then when challenges come, we panic and suffer anxiety. Let us always remember that only cowards retreat from challenges. Let us, instead, face things squarely, make some plans in solving the problems, and seek the help, if need be, of people or friends who may just be willing to extend assistance. Of course, divine guidance is foremost our first resort so we can be given the gifts to discern and do things wisely, according to charity and justice.

Obstacles in life are like testing grounds for our tenacity in handling situations. It is either we insist on doing the same mistakes time and again or embrace changes. When we are faced with financial difficulties, whether personal or business, know that there are alternative solutions to try and overcome the challenges. There should be a fall-back plan to switch to once all attempts at solutions are to no avail. A financial advisor may come handy or a business partner may have an investment scheme to help us out of the difficulty.

Many successful people would talk more about their struggles and failures than their successes. They find meaning in how they bounced back after a fall, how they amend their lives after making mistakes, and how the challenges made them stronger and wiser. Embracing the challenges and learning from them make them sturdier and happier with the outcome of their efforts in defying failure and turning things around for the better.

There are many stories of people with disabilities that are not hindered by their handicap but use it to full potential in the way they know possible. Their lack does not define them because they fill it with their passion to learn, hone their craft, and push themselves to achieve their goal. They embrace their incapacities and challenge themselves to rise above them. We know how successful they become.
We have the power within us to use to good advantage for ourselves and for others who depend on us. It is a matter of accepting our mistakes and learning from the consequences. Doing something about the consequences is one step to overcome challenges. We become master of the problems than their slave. We are and can be problem solvers when we do act on the situation with strategies tested and proven through time.

Let us welcome challenges as opportunities for advancement. We may undergo struggles but in the end, we are the winners. Let us not succumb to fear or languidness when faced with insecurity, uncertainty, and lack. Let us steer our energies away from negative forces and move forward with a positive outlook.
