Persistence: A Key in Fulfilling Your Journey 4/15/2019 11:31:52 AM
I challenge you to follow dreams. When a dream is sealed within you, I encourage you to follow them. Yes make a conscious decision to follow, and I promise that fulfillment will come. Persistence is a powerful key in fulfilling your journey in life. When you set a goal, you go through planning, scheduling and implementing. You also take into consideration the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Doing so, you will already know how to apply solutions to problems, get rid of obstacles, employ remedies and identify areas for advancement.
In your personal life, though, these methodologies get distracted by real-life situations. Failures sometimes come in twos, threes or more so that you are inclined to forego what you have started. If you are persistent, you will one day be where you want to be. It is like farming. A farmer prepares the land, cultivates it, plants his crop and waits for its growth. At times, the farm gets flooded and he makes extra hard work to prepare, cultivate and plant again. His persistence finally pays off when he harvests his crops.
If your passion is writing, go for it. You need to anticipate the obstacles that you will be experiencing. You enthusiastically submit your finished book to the publisher, but you get rejected. Do not get discouraged. Try your luck with another publisher and another and another. You may be rejected many times. However, rejection should not be a hindrance to your pursuing your dream to be a writer. Persistence will always reap the reward of your efforts. A product of persistence is Dr. Seuss, a children’s book writer, who was rejected 27 times before he got his final break.
Whatever you do, do not give up when the going gets tough. It always happens that an opportunity lurks at the last and least expected moment. Whatever obstacle you face, be determined to push forward. Do not mind the discouragements from friends or family. Learn more from the mistakes and move forward. Learn from the experiences of successful men who went through slumps and losses before they reached the pinnacle of success. Be inspired by what they did before they became who they are now.
Identify what you would like to pursue, what lifestyle you would like to have, what career you want to take. There are some cases that people made detours in life and found more success in what they did not plan to do. For example, a doctor has a passion for cooking and ended up being a chef. It could be that you discovered your vocation in a different setting or situation. Whatever it is, persist in doing what you think makes you fulfilled. Persistence will always pay off in the end.
Persistence has the power to produce positive results. In persisting through challenges you will find yourself becoming knowledgeable and wiser. Have a positive attitude in life; do not let frustrations hinder you from pushing forward. Take all the chances put at your disposal to realize your dream. Develop skills and use your experiences to your advantage. Build up your capabilities. Be resilient and steadfast. You will get to your journey in life, scarred, perhaps, but triumphant.
