Christmas Eve in Sydney Australia 12/23/2006 10:53:52 PM
Weather changes that have to be lived with to be believed - December 2006 It's Christmas Eve in Sydney, 6.08 pm. The day has been muggy, but not unbearable, no sun, and this afternoon brought heavy showers. We need rain badly and yet it will not doubt ruin some outdoor events planned for this evening. It will also put a shadow over plans that people have made for tomorrow, Christmas Day.
Although they didn't predict rain for tomorrow, it will be a coolish day, around 21 degrees celcius - very cool for summer in Sydney. For a scrumptious baked dinner it will be great. We planned a barbeque this year with salad, by the pool. Only tomorrow will tell what we will be able to do as to whether we can sit outside under the awning or retreat to the dining room. Such is life in Sydney and indeed anywhere in Australia - unpredictable.
The tree is in the family room, bright and cheery, with lovely lights. It seems to always set the scene for the festivities and family get-together. Eight of us are having dinner here tonight, and my beautiful Shaye has just greeted the guests in his usual manner - jumping all over them and causing chaos. He is just so excited to see everyone but ends up getting into strife and being sent outside :(
Well must go and spend time with the family. A very happy Christmas to all and a wonderful, happy and safe New Year.
