Finally ... it's close to moving day! Can't believe the day is almost here to relocate to my new home! I'm waiting on a waterbed pro to fill the bed and crank it up for heating so hopefully I can move later this week.
Austar will be moved tomorrow so I may have a few nights with no paid TV to watch but I still have the computer online until Friday (I think!)
It's been a long haul to almost be in the door to stay but then good things come to those that wait, or so they say.
We still have a side fence to be erected and have been waiting X number of weeks for this to happen in spite of contacting a contractor and verbally coming to an agreement. It's very hard down here to organise anything to happen when it's supposed to.
The driveway is still coming, like Christmas! My hope is that it will be started/finished soon because until it is we can't get a truck in with our furniture and fridge etc.We will have to continue coming to my younger son's home to cook, wash clothes etc until we can move all that into the house.
It's totally daunting seeing all the boxes and containers that have to be unpacked and I doubt they will all be emptied by Christmas but as long as we have the necessities and have beds for our stayover visitors and chairs to sit on and the ability to cook then I guess that's all that will matter.
I have to admit I'm really not excited about moving at all because of all the things that are half done or not even started yet. My four legged hairy mate will have to spend his days at my son's home until we have a fence but he will be able to spend nights at the new house because he always sleeps inside.
Who said moving was an adventure? Perhaps I need to clear my head out and think positive and enjoy the experience. I'll work on that :)
