After seven years of being trapped in co-habitation hell, I've finally emancipated myself from the terror that is my ex-boyfriend. I've been waiting for this moment for so long that I guess I built up my image of what being single was really like. Dating whomever I wanted, meeting new people, finding THE one. After 3 months of being in the blissful life I imagined I've realized one very profound thing...being single sucks!! Every where I go people are looking for Miss That Night not Miss Right and it's a bit apalling to be a part of. Yeah, there's the random guy flirting that's kind of nice, it sends a rush of ego to the head knowing that SOMEONE finds you attractive, but then they have to go a mess it up by saying something like "Nice ass" or "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" Is it supposed to make me feel good that somehow in your drunken stupor you got the idea that I was coming home with you tonight? Granted, all places probably aren't THAT bad, just don't ever trust a party-girl ( or guy ) friend when they say that bars or clubs are a great place to MEET someone. Just whining, I guess, I thought this was going to be more fun than it is, but I'd rather be here now than where I was, so at least SOMETHING good has come from this situation. Happy hunting to all those looking and to anyone that's ever used the above lines...THEY DON'T WORK GET NEW MATERIAL!!!
