The Army and Air Force Exchange Services, AAFES, are the grand daddy of abuse for customers and employees alike. If you are not part of the good ole boy club you will be in for a hell of a ride, even more if you are employed by them!!!

The Military Exchange Services are promising to support, but do they really?
Occasionally we study the ‘Rip-off-Report’ and we stumbled, yet again, over a BUNCH of reports on our Army and Air Force Exchange Services.
Now, they claim to be the No. 1 supporter of our military troops, their motto: “We go where you go!”, which is not a promise of support, but a threat of ripping them off.
Many scams have been going on over the years, causing soldiers, their dependents and retirees not only a lot of money, but a lot of hardship as well.
But not only their customers are treated badly, their employees as well. Most are employed as Intermediates, hired to work 19 hours a week ,but scheduled to work 34, which is Regular Part Time, to avoid paying their faithful employees any benefits, to include sick leave, holiday pay or vacation leave and, most of all in order to never have to pay any retirement, now that‘s a true fact!
Supervisors and managers often don’t have a clue about the job they are working and are allowed to treat their subordinates with any cruelty they see fit. Complaints are often dismissed as a figment of the their employees imagination.
How sad it is to know that our brave soldiers, men and women, be it at the war front or at the home front, while they are protecting the country and defend the freedom, are being mistreated and lured in by fake promises. Yet only very few of them have the courage and means to come forward.
The worst part is that, while deployed, they do not have much of a choice but to shop at those facilities, for no others are available, AAFES holds the monopoly on selling to the military.

As they travel around the globe in military means
Amongst many things, they seek they live and they die
A lot of times no one even knows why
The only thing they ask of us is to give them the support they need,
Without a fuzz.
But in the middle of the thick brick HQ’s Dallas walls
The support they get from the Goliath
Is really no support at all
As the war continues and supplies they need
A lot of our heroes, they will bleed.
I know that with this you can tell,
Without support from their main supplier
The troops can go to no one else who would sell
The merchandise they will need to get
While they are pulling their duty without complaint and regret
What they want you to believe is “we go where you go”

Using mostly part time employees is becoming a dangerous policy IMHO. The welfare roll will definately increase. I hear Walmart is doing it. I detest it, but what can you do? The state of the Nation is pathetic. I had my say in a blog. We're rapidly transitioning into a third world nation. Soon we'll let sick folks die on the streets. I find it difficult to be proud of our country these days.

Don't know what the problem is, but I do know one thing, most government agencies are inept because of the overburdening bureaucracy. I'm going to the link as we speak.

The Conspiracy Postponed
The publishing of the book The Conspiracy, by Birgit and Roger Pratcher, a fiction suspense thriller which is based around true events, will be postponed until a later time.
An ongoing law suit against a billion-dollar Goliath, which should find it's first Grande Finale in the spring of 2006, is what is holding up the process. After seeing the way the Goliath is defending its self against the little David, the authors decided to hold up on signing a contract and await the outcome of the Civil Court date and then maybe edit the book even further.
Experiencing the severeness with which money and power is attempting to buy support and attempting to override justice as well as paying for lies, is more bull than the authors ever expected and will indeed fill another two chapters, if not more, in the suspense Thriller.
Discrimination should never be tolerated, by anyone, ever!
