I have been a mom for so long, so long I scarcly remember a time when this was not true. My children are grown, and yet,daily remind me my job is not finished. Mom how do you make your Tator-tot hot dish? Mom can you lend me 100 dollars till my next paycheck? Can you babysit for a couple of hours, while I work at the hockey arena as part of my parental obligation? Mom have you heard Sofia sing a song in Spanish?
I am not exaggerating the need my kids have of me. The list is endless, once I was stupidly resentful, lately I am smiling as I realize that I am blessed to have a family that loves me, trusts me, and wants me in their lives. This is not true of everyone! What a joy it is to have family that feels that you, Mom, are the blessing in their lives. I must thank God for this wonderful priviledge!
