The Santa Ana is here in full force. I know this because my nose is dry and bloody. I suspect Michael is reacting as well---he had a three minute seizure this morning and once again my mind started racing about seizures and connections to weather changes. Onto the internet---articles about migraines and barometric pressure changes. There's even something called a barometric pressure headache! I'm not a medical researcher; but it doesn't seem a huge leap (to me) to think, hmmmmm...maybe there IS a connection. But if so---then what? Okay---well, I take a stab and knock off an e-mail to Michael's neurologist. Can't hurt. I suppose this is what most parents with chronically ill children (did I say children? he's now a young adult !) do. We search for answers. We cannot accept that there are not sufficient explanations, no rational cause and effect; and in my own case, I can't, won't accept that this is it. There will be discoveries; things will be different. I can hope. Hope will keep us going.
