Why I must remove most of my poems--for now. The good news and bad. Greetings on a new year, and random thoughts. Probably. Happy 2016! My very best wishes for each of you, and for a much beleaguered world.
No matter how hard I try, I wind up not blogging here regularly, and for that--I'm sorry. I keep saying I'll do better, then I don't, so this year--I won't make that promise! With any luck, it will just happen.
Sadly, I am removing much of my poetry. Thanks for the thousands of views and all the kind words. I've released a collection of my poetry, Always the Moon, and Amazon doesn't allow the work posted digitally anywhere else.
Should I decide to withdraw exclusive rights from Amazon, I will repost some. And needless to say--I'd love you to pick up Always the Moon. There are poems never before seen, as well as my favorites, and some things about me you won't read anywhere else--like why one of the poems that means the most to me is a tribute to baseball great Henry Aaron.
Some of the poems, though written in years past, will be relevant today--and some may be controversial. They are what they are, and pretty much who I am.
Finally, in what may be another turbulent year-I want to thank all of you who read and write--communication is a powerful venue of change, at times, and better to win the world over through words than endless bloodshed.
