Good morning, whereever you are! America, there is a heavy burden on my heart and it is my duty to share this news with you.
It seems that since television commercials have been dumbed down to the first grade level, and we, collectively, are many rungs up the ladder over Madison Avenues target audience focus groups, it is my duty to report to you my most memorable (that's the key word here) tv commercials.
Since the list is not long to begin with...this will be short and sweet.
The list will go from 5 to 1, with one being the most memorable.
5. The five fav. friends added to your cell phone. Since I don't have five friends, except for the guy from the IRS, who watches me like a hawk...I don't have any 'favs.' that i'd add...that commercial has now moved to the really annoying list.
4. TIAA CREF, You are insulting and condescending to those of us that have worked our entire lives, but have not put money in your pot...and your slogan that this is 'For the Greater Good' is quite elitist.
3. Tiger this and Tiger that. This poor kid doesn't need the money so why pitch Buicks, golf clubs or anything else he promotes...just let him go out on the course and do his thing. By the way, as a reminder, I will be perched inside his cap at the Masters Tournament...simply to keep him focussed.
2. I dont' know about you but I'm damned well sick and tired of having my evening news commercials over run with how to control bladder, ease arthritis, cure cancer and increrase my sexual drive...at least wait until Jeopardy is over, would ya?
1. My most memorable commmercial is the series of GEICO commeercials with the Cavemen. They are funny, original and to the point. Congratulations, you are the best of the worst!
Well I'm off for today...see ya at the Masters. You'll know it's me when you see Tiger scratch his head, that's his signal that he's received my message........gotta go.
