Where Do I Go Now? 3/18/2007 8:17:43 AM
Cloudy with a chance of rain on the North Oregon Coast today and that's fine with me, I've got lots to keep me busy today.
While working my way through 'Face The Nation' and 'Meet The Press' I paid close attention to the Robert Gates being interviewed for the first time since being named replacement for Donald Rumsfeld. Two things were apparent, Mr. Gates was very uncomfortable during the show; his hands moved much worse than my poor Mom with tremors. It's ssfe to say he was nervous. The second thing to note was that Mr. Gates reverted back to his days at the CIA, in that there wasn't a question that Bob Schieffer asked that Mr. Gates was willing to answer. I'd have to say his 'true colors' glaringly shone through.
It didn't take long for former Congressman Tom De Lay to crawl back up from the mud. Not surprising, Mr. De Lay has a new book just published as a reflection of his days in Congress. The thing about Tom De Lay is that in a recent article he wrote regarding the war in Iraq, stating that any person who speaks out against the war, management of the war and all of it's separate components, including health care for the service people returning to America wounded and in need of care are unpatriotice, UnAmerican and he stated on Meet The Press that these people should be tried for Treason.
My question, then, is Where Do I Go Now? I marched in protest when our current President announced we were attacking Iraq. I have verbally, to those that would listen that I'm against this war and always will be. Does that mean that I should start looking over my shoulder in case big brother is ccming for me?
Hell no, I won't go! This is my country and I lover her so.
That's the way it is on the North Oregon Coast...Go Ducks!
