Third book in the series coming soon

Apologies about the long gap and a note about the third book in my fantasy series about to be published.
I can't believe that the last entry in this blog was back in November 2010. I feel that the four years or so have gone by in the blink of an eye. I've been extremely busy, that's true. My fantasy fiction has been taken over by Jo Feltcher Books, of Quercus Publishers, which themselves were taken over by Hodder & Stoughton, which, of all the happenstances, were my original fiction publisher. The series has also gone into the US, where it is being published in Hardcover as well as paperback and Kindle.
Book 3, The Sword of Feimhin, will be published in a week's time. I have no idea how the public will react to it. I very much hope that their reaction will be positive, as it has been by and large for my previous fantasy novels.
What's it about? Well, it isn't a swords and sorcery type of fantasy novel in any way. The sword in the title is a repository of enormous power - and wielded in the wrong hands is capable of dreadful wrong and evil. Its arrival into the city of London is thus a harbinger of momentous change.
Mark and Nan (the teenage Queen Nantosueta from Ossierel in my fantasy world of Tir) travel to London to try to find and rescue Padraig, Alan's druid grandfather, who was captured at the same time as the sword he was attempting to keep safe in Feinhim's barrow grave in Ireland. On page 1, we discover the effects of the presence of the sword - with Razzamatazzers setting fire to whole blocks and the city descending into disorder and chaos.
The four friends are separated once more, with Alan, assisted by the Garg prince, Iyezzz, leading an army of Shee warriors across a great mountain range to march upon the Tyrant's capital city, Ghork Mega. Kate meanwhile, in spite of her sense of dread, has entered the Land of the Dead, in an effort to save the Momu, hive mother of the Cill, to save her and her wonderful race of beings.
And Mo - the strangest, and gentlest of the four friends, is beginning to discover her true nature, and meets her birth mother for the first time . . .
The Sword of Feimhin contains a Dramatis Personae index for the first time in the series, to help readers recall the many strange and wonderful characters, alien beings, and magical entities.
