I don't even want to put this into words. It's too rudimentary to lay out the details one tortured line at a time. The very banality of it makes me afraid that if I tell this story it will undermine the white hot emotion I'm drowning in right now. Rage. Bitterness. Betrayal. Hurt. Self-doubt.
I broke up with him after four years. (Yeah, yeah so what.)
My best friend made a move on him. (How cliche.)
I have to live with them both. (Fuckin idiot.)
Man. I'm such an idiot. She didn't deserve a friend like me but she sure as hell deserves a man like him.
