If it's a "Floyd Void", then you don't play Floyd! 6/7/2005 8:45:34 PM
It's a small thing, but one that irks me greatly. Our local rock station advertises a segment of Pink Floyd music by calling it the "Floyd Void." OK, it rhymes, but 'void' means 'lack of'... The 'Floyd Void' should be fifteen minutes in which they do NOT play any Floyd. (That in itself would be a feat... you know you're listening to this station when you hear Floyd, Zep, or Boston.)
A similar situation exists with their 'music blocks.' They play 3 songs per artist. I guess they failed geometry too, because a block has 4 sides... they are playing music pyramids, not blocks.
Maybe they could play the Floyd, Zep and Boston 'blocks' first, and get them out of the way ... it's like going through a time warp listening to that station. I'm old enough to remember those songs when they first came out, too, but geez Louise, guy, do you have to keep playing the same six songs?
