What 'sanctity of marriage?' 7/2/2003 9:36:57 PM
If I hear this phrase ONE MORE TIME, I'm going to scream! I have been hearing religious types bleating about how the removal of Texas' anti-sodomy laws will somehow interfere with 'the sanctity of marriage'... as if people who see others engaging in homosexual activity will say, "Hey, that looks like fun-- I think I'll dump my wife of 15 years so I can go screw some young guy! Sorry, kids, raise yourself-- I've got better things to do now that sodomy is legal!"
And anyway, WHAT 'sanctity of marriage' is left-- divorces are easy to get and there's no shame attached to them anymore. If the religious types really want to preserve the sanctity of marraige, they'll go after divorce lawyers.
