Invest in a new writer for those radio spots The Red Lobster radio commercial is driving me crazy-- it refers to their 'decadent' desserts. How can a dessert be decadent? Does the chocolate cake hold bourgeoise political views? Does the strawberry shortcake have a house draped in silk? FOOD cannot be decadent, only people or cultures can be! Arrrrghhh!
And another thing-- they advertise lobster tails 'cooked to perfection.' What, did they used to sorta-kinda cook them? Did they used to cook them half-assed? And whose idea of 'perfection' is being used? How the hell can you tell when a lobster tail is over-cooked-- it's gonna come out crunchy no matter how you cook it!
What I want to hear is the important stuff-- what are my chances of spending the whole night after dinner in the bathroom? That matters more to me than hearing about the desserts.
