New Year's Eve Priorities 12/31/2004 8:30:58 AM
Marla is working at the Radisson Resort at the Port tonight. It will cost $200.00 each to join the party with steaks and an open bar until midnight. A room is $334.00. I think I could find a few more ways to spend that kind of money - a new computer, the rent, another guitar, a cruise. It's just a matter of priorities.
Maybe I'm just too practical (or too old?) to celebrate just another year passing by while spending an outrageous amount of money. I think I'll strum a few tunes at home on my guitar tonight and avoid the hoopla, police spot checks and drunken party goers. The ball will drop, the neighbors will cheer and 2005 will arrive for better or for worse. Happy New Year!!
