Today Sharon, my hairdresser, came to cut my hair - and not before time.
Don't you agree, girls, one feels totally unglamorous with whisps of hair sticking out all over the place and around the collar?
I have been wanting to do a new video on Writing the Novel for YouTube but I wouldn't let myself be seen with messy hair. Now I will be doing that video on Saturday.
No, I am not really vain. I can't afford to be. I am just being a woman.
I can't do a lot about my shape, not at my age, but I can make sure my hair is tidy.
When I create a heroine for my novels she always has lovely hair. It is a woman's crowning glory.
Not that my hair is a glory now, but at one time....
Making a new video for YouTube is always an adventure. I take time with my make up and appearance (even though only my face will be seen by the camera). I take time setting up the camera, getting the best angle etc.
Sometimes I can talk on a subject for over fifteen minutes without stopping! But, there you see, I am a woman.
Getting the video out of the camera and into my PC is another adventure and I am always rather surprised when it uploads successfully to the YouTube site.
Perhaps the eagerness to make videos is another form of vanity. Never mind that. It is fun!!!
