Today while a computer guru was installing a new computer, our office doors were open to the outside. What a mistake because flys were darting in an out like little kids wondering if they wanted in or out of the house. It was like molasses on a hot sticky day. Yuk!

The guru told me a little tale of being on vacation in Texas and eating at different outdoor restaurants. At each of the restaurants, little bags of water (sandwich bags) were hung in various places and he commented on why they were there. He was told it thwarts flys and so...this old gal just had to try it. I filled a baggie part full of water and taped it to the outside of my office door.

So help me, Hanna, within seconds there wasn't a fly to be seen and my doors are still open. Don't know why it works or how it works but it does. Now, this summer when we have a cook out, you can bet a bag of water will be hung in my back porch area.

Don't know about blood sucking 'skeeters...nothing thwarts those goobers...'cept bug spray.
