Joining Author's Den
Hello, I'm just looking around after I joined Author's Den, officially, on July 2, 1980. I am a professional book reviewer and first came to post reviews for one of my clients. I still haven't figured out how to do that, but I've been told to look around, try things...
And so, here I am finding the ability to Blog!!
Now I already do have various places I post and/or blog... but I try to respond when clients are participating online!
Of course, there is a LOT of online potential and I try to keep abreast of what is out there.
You would be surprised how many new authors have published a book...
And then they stand and look around and wonder, now what am I supposed to do. That's one of the things I help them with. If I can.
Selling books is THE primary consideration BEFORE you publish. But most authors don't even think of that until they have the book(s) in hand! Sometimes at that point, it is possibly too late! Especially if you self-publish!
Soooo, I've been pulled in, sometimes kicking, by clients for whom I've done a book review and/or proofreading, editing, etc. Since I have a fairly good command of the use of the computer, I've become a resource as to where to go and how to post. Most times I work in cooperation with the client...I post my reviews wherever they want me to... or sometimes they want me to join a site...and I'm quite willing to do that so I can respond to their request. As of now, I'm posting all over the internet!
So, that's how I came to Author's Den... they say that authors and readers meet here...
I'm a reader...not an author...so I'm interested in meeting authors...but I'm also interested in meeting other readers!
