How do you choose???
Coming to Author's Den was part of a job I was doing...I work with authors, sometimes throughout the entire process of publishing.
One of my clients has me helping him market his books! So, with my fingers moving rapidly over the computer keys, I perform searches to find where a new author might talk about his books!
I found Authors Den through such a search! Checking it out is part of what I do too...but, before I knew it, my client had joined and become a full-fledged member! I think he was impressed with the numbers!
So, when I have a client who joins a group like this, well, I follow him or her and post my reviews...thus, I wind up becoming a member of a lot of book sites!
Have you noticed, however...this is a site for authors! My gosh... so many books, articles, poems...so little time!
I wasn't quite sure how to approach getting involved on this site...so I just started with the author list. I found another of my clients, so immediately started to "track" her! While continuing through the author list, I randomly go out to check out what someone is writing! Click, click ...tracking, tracking... there's just no way to ever read what is available! But it is so much fun trying!
Now I do have a love of mystery and suspense, so I check out books appearing on the home page...found one today that looks interesting...read the excerpt...and will be thinking about it...click...track that author!
Gee, how am I ever going to write something of my very own?! Probably never will have the time!
But, that's all right...I'm thoroughly enjoying reading here...and sooner or later, I'll find a book or two or three that will call to me...Read me, Read me...
