Starting to Read a New Book

Do you enjoy starting a new book???
I just started reading a story about a young woman being a trainer on a horst farm.
The Prologue really set the stage...and I was hooked!
I'm a reader who enjoys being hooked within the first several pages. Sometimes a beautifully written first couple of paragraphs can do it as well!
Oh yes, I normally proceed to read books who haven't hooked me...especially nonfiction...After all, how many of you can say you were hooked into reading a nonfiction book by the first couple of paragraphs!
I admit it! I also started a nonfiction book regarding skyscrapers...very interesting and I know I will enjoy reading and seeing the pictures...
But by the time I had learned that the owner of the horse, the horse and the owner of the training business had been killed...well, skyscrapers just didn't tempt me as much!
But that's ok because the new suspense book will occupy me in my fun time as well as in work! Yes, this new book is for a review but it has me so involved that I'll want to keep reading until I finish it...
In fact, I think I hear the sound of horses calling me...
