ringing the changes I'm working away on the corrections for Green Living, Sacred Life with Jon Day at Capall Bann publishing. It's slow work, but we're about two thirds of the way through the 358 pages now. I've just uploaded a new profile picture my son snapped as I was perusing the pages.
Nothing much else to report. Life has begun to settle down and we're just trying to persuade the cats and dogs that it's okay to be in the same room without violence erupting. It's an uphill struggle, but hills are for climbing. Actually we're taking a gentle saunter, taking it day by day.
So far Treasure, the upstairs tripod cat is now willing to sit on the back of the sofa while the dogs are present, but will not move any lower. For their part, the dogs haven't tried to eat him. When Bandit, recently arrived matriarch of the upstairs, peeked in the lounge door, Misty did want to eat her, but I persuaded her that dog biscuits were easier to digest. Bandit sat outside of the door peering in for a good half hour, during which time Misty settled down and Loki (a gigantic bear of a dog) came out from his hiding place and joined in the game of catch the kibble. By the time Bandit was ready to go back upstairs, Loki had built up enough courage to look her in the eye - briefly - before retreating to the back room.
