Did you know? 8/25/2010 9:23:12 PM
A truth largely unknown.
Did you know when Christ said to the thief on the cross,"This day shalt thou be with me in paradise," that paradise was actually two Greek words meaning (para) minor, and (dise) hell? So what he really said with that promise was, "This day shalt thou be with me in minor hell, or limbo." And that day he descended into hell, etc.
The only reason 'paradise' has a different meaning today is because people over the centuries took it to mean 'heaven'. Heaven is the dictionary interpretation now. One would have to get into the Greek of 2000 years ago to trace it to its actual meaning...or maybe not. Today's Greek might do the job.
