This is a poem from A Journal in Verse, due to be released in December 2009! Please note, this poem is only an excerpt!
When I was just a little girl, I never understood Why it was you worked so hard, I just knew you would. Growing up, I watched you work Knowing it was almost nothing, Just so your children Would always have something. When I think of back to how it was, Now that you are gone, I don’t wonder as much, How you held on. When I see a child with its dad, I never see as much love As I had.
