Walk with me.
Take my hand and stroll beside me as life passes us by.
I do not know where this road will take us.
But...
I know where we'll end up and in this I take comfort.
Walk with me.
Let's gaze at the sunrise and sunset.
The gifts of the day are still a surprise.
life and death... for better or worse...
and everything in between.
My hand at your waist is as secure as the earth.
Your healing skin beneath my fingers thrills me...
But it is your simple presence at my side that gives my existance meaning.
Walk with me.
As we wander along the way...
I cannot tell where you begin and I end.
I inhale. You exhale. Two hearts. One beat.
We make our plans yet God directs our path.
Your fingertips are so soft.
Walk with me.
Close your eyes as that gentle breeze cools our brow.
Tomorrows traps and treasures will reveal themselves in their own time.
You of silk... I of twine...
"A cord of three strands will never be broken". Let's enjoy this perfect moment, hand in hand.
Walk with me.
Even after 19 years of marriage... the thought of walking anywhere with my wife still gives me such a thrill... such peace. Her presence next to me is a blessing from God despite my unworthiness. For this I am eternally thankful! The photo was taken by my daughter next to the Icicle River near Leavenworth, Washington.
