He Makes My Day


I walk alone in solitude
As dawn reveals the day.
With weary heart, and seeking peace,
I kneel down then to pray.

Among the flowers now awake
From their brief, pleasant rest,
I whisper to my God above
To make this day His best.

"I know that I am just one soul,
And unimportant, be,
But one who sees the sparrows' plight
Can surely care for me."

"Amen," I said, then I beheld
My life a brand new way.
I felt His power reaching out
To me each time I pray.

I heard earth's music in the air
From throats of birds His song
Revealed much greater truths to learn
For, to Him I belong.
